move she cries

Oregon, my heart
I will leave your cold cold rain
misting my eyes
trade you for warm rains
and hurricane winds that whip
banana trees and sand as fair as
my skin will mesh with a sea of ebony
and vast fields of poverty
industrial bridges and evergreens
fade into the background
of sweating palms that caress
the broken heart of a land long
forgotten by my fathers.

  1. Drink deeply of your time left in the beautiful NW. I miss it so much. But, maybe I'll see you in Haiti ;o) can't wait to see who God brings you to love and walk beside there.
