Welcome to my BLOG.
I am hoping this will be a good way to communicate with friends and family as I begin my global outreach. I am in the preparation phase for going to Cambodia in February. I will be going with a team put together by Josh Butler and Imago Dei Community and partnering with Medical Teams International. Check out their websites:

As a team we are reading "When Helping Hurts" by Corbett and Fikkert as we prepare and after only reading the first few chapters I am already recommending it to everyone who is interested in "helping" communities steeped in poverty.

About Me

- My interest in Global Health started at the age of 4. My family was living in a community of nomadic goat herders in the desert of Northern Kenya doing translation and literacy work with Wycliffe. I sat next to my father as he cared for the children of the village with cuts or minor burns. The health disparities I witnessed in this community inspired me to become a nurse, and to commit my life to bring holistic healing to those suffering around the world.
